JLM Fundraisers
JLM salutes the community for its support throughout the 2009-2010 League year with an amazing $170,000 raised from successful events and campaigns. Funds benefit JLM in its efforts to make a significant impact in the community within the areas of homelessness, family violence, early childhood education, children’s & women’s health and foster care.
Special Events 2010-11
The 7th Annual Golf Tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 1, 2010, at the Blue Monster golf course at Doral Golf Resort & Spa. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. The tournament will be followed by an evening cocktail reception beginning at 5:30 where tournament players, guests and members of the community will enjoy live music, a silent auction and delicious food and drinks. Celebrate Miami and honor those who make the city magical at a festive holiday fundraiser at the Four Seasons Hotel. Enjoy an enchanting evening with refreshing cocktails, delectable cuisine and much more.
Roll out the red carpet and honor remarkable women who, in line with JLM’s mission, have made a significant impact in the areas of women and children through their volunteerism. The Women Who Make a Difference committee is now accepting nominations for honorees for the 10th Anniversary luncheon. Please make your nominations of women who are committed to JLM's focus areas of homelessness, family violence, children and women's health, early childhood development and foster care. Businesses can also support the Junior League of Miami and promote their services to members by advertising in the Junior League Journal, a newsletter that goes to 1,000 members, as well as by participating in major fundraising events.
