JLM Headquarters Usage Policies

1. The space available for use in Headquarters is defined as:
A. Board Room - suitable for meetings of up to 20
B. Work Room - suitable for meetings of up to 10
C. Foyer - suitable for meetings of up to 15* (please note this space not available for weekday meetings)
D. Community Room - suitable for meetings of up to 70*
E. Kitchen - suitable for meetings up to 8*
F. Total building capacity is 125

* Meetings in these areas are subject to interruption by meetings in other areas of the building. When scheduling, the user must be familiar with the layout of the building.

2. All groups using space at JLM Headquarters must:
A. Set up the space for their meeting
B. Clean up following the meeting which includes:
1. Taking garbage out to the trash cans in the rear of the building
2. Putting away tables/chairs and returning the space to its original set up
3. If you are the last group in the building: setting the air conditioning units to 80 degrees, turning out the lights and setting the alarm.

3. JLM Committees have the priority for meetings. Committee chairs must call the HQ office to schedule their meetings as far in advance as possible with the following information:
A. Specific date and time
B. Number of people attending
C. Specific room(s) that need to be reserved.

Important Information

Parking
- Metered parking is available in front of HQ. We have one handicapped space in the rear of the building.

Entering the Building - Use the code and enter through the side door. The alarm box is just inside the door. Turn off the alarm by entering the alarm code on the alarm panel. If the phone rings within the first 5 minutes of your entry, answer it. You may not have turned off the alarm. If it is the alarm company, they will ask for our password which is ____. (To find out the password, send an email to HQ.) DO NOT give the codes to your committee members.

Garbage - We recycle at HQ. Try to keep glass, aluminum cans and soda bottles separated from the rest of your garbage. When you are taking out the garbage after a meeting, the recycling must be placed in the correct container out back. Pay attention and place it in the one marked for recyclables. We also recycle office paper. There is a bin for it on the counter next to the small copier.

Food - DO NOT leave food at HQ. Sealed beverage containers should be placed in the refrigerator with the understanding that they will be consumed by fellow members.
