In 1980 the Junior League of Miami created and produced an Emmy award-winning film entitled "Miami, The Magic City." In 1994, the Junior League produced a new, updated and expanded version of this acclaimed film which focuses on Miami's unique and ethnically diverse heritage and tells the story of the people and events that have shaped our international community.
Narrated by Cliff Robertson and written by Miami's beloved historian Arva Moore Parks, "Our Miami: The Magic City" is a fascinating 60-minute film detailing 10,000 years of Miami history from a tropical frontier to a glittering, international metropolis. Thanks to funding from the United Way and others, the Spanish language version was released in 1995.
