Endowment Fund for Community Projects in Memory of Ronni Bermont
The Junior League's Endowment Fund for Community Projects was named in honor of past president Ronni Bermont who died of ovarian cancer in 1993 but whose inspirational legacy lives on today.
Ronni's accomplishments included serving as chair of the Historical Association of Southern Florida and a variety of leadership positions with the Guardianship Board of Dade County, United Way, Informed Families, Metro-Dade Community Relations Board and City National Bank of Florida, among others.
Within the Junior League, Ronni was a mentor to many. She broadened the League's reach and impact by establishing the Membership Outreach Committee to encourage League diversity. She understood the unique challenges of our community and the value of including all voices for the greatest impact for helping those in need. Her "shared leadership" style fostered inclusive programs that continue to inspire those who follow in her footsteps.
