Membership Outreach
The Membership Outreach Committee is gearing up its search for and recruitment of dedicated and hard working volunteers! The Committee members will be hosting several outreach events. Please check back in fall 2007 for full details as the committee plans over the summer.
Membership Open Houses - All Prospective Members Required to Attend One!
All prospective members must attend one Membership Open House event. Most are held at Junior League Headquarters, 713 Biltmore Way, Coral Gables, Florida, unless noted otherwise.
- February 7, 2008 (Thursday) 6:30 pm
- March 18, 2008 (Tuesday) 6:30 pm
- April 12, 2008 (Saturday) 11 am
Membership Requirements
The Junior League of Miami, Inc. will begin accepting applications for membership in the 2007-2008 Provisional Class on October 1, 2007.
To be eligible to join, a prospective member must:
- Be over 22 years of age on or before May 31, 2008;
- Possess an interest in volunteerism, a commitment to community service and an interest in developing her potential for voluntary community participation;
- Have a sponsor (although a sponsor will be assigned if the prospective member does not know a JLM member at the time of application);
- Submit an application online, by mail or by fax;
- Attend one Membership Open House.
The Deadline for membership applications will be Tuesday, May 6, 2008. However, we encourage all members to get their friends, family and colleagues to submit their applications as early as possible so that they can start receiving information and invites to the exciting events we have planned for this year!
