For 2009-2010 Junior League of Miami Board of Directors and other Slated Positions
Important Notes
Your submissions of this ballot and your suggestions or comments are completely confidential. The ballots are destroyed after the selection process. All Actives and Provisionals are encouraged to submit a ballot, even if it is only partially completed. Your input is critical to selecting the best leaders. The Nominating Committee welcomes your comments which will help us understand candidates’ qualifications.
Self-submittals are strongly encouraged. They help the Nominating Committee know who is willing to serve. The Nominating Committee will also consider people who have not self-submitted, but have been recognized by others as strong leaders.
Only members of the Nominating Committee participate in final decisions regarding the slate. The deliberations are strictly confidential. The current Board of Directors, President and President-Elect do not participate in the decisions, but are allowed to submit straw ballots.
The slate will be announced at the January 2009 General Membership Meeting, and Active members will vote on the slate at the February 2009 General Membership Meeting.
Committee Chairs will be selected by the new Board beginning in February 2009. If you are interested in chairing a committee, please look for the “Willingness to Serve Form” at the January 2009 General Membership Meeting or contact Erin Knight, President-Elect.
The lists on the last page are intended to help you recall members who have previously held leadership positions with the League. You may nominate any Active member. You are not limited to those listed.
The Deadline for Straw Ballot Submissions is Friday, November 14, 2008 at 5:00 p.m.
