10 Aug Women Who Make A Difference
JOIN US AS WE CELEBRATE THE WOMEN IN OUR COMMUNITY
Each year, the Junior League of Miami hosts a Spring luncheon to recognize 3 to 4 outstanding women who exemplify the League’s mission of promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities. Ideally, the women will have made a positive contribution to Miami and/or the surrounding communities. At least one woman must be a JLM Sustaining Member.
Proceeds from this event will support programs focused on women and children at risk. Individual and corporate support will fund our three signature projects: INN Transition North (ITN), INN Transition South (ITS), and Done in a Day volunteer opportunities. For more than 20 years, INN Transition North and South have provided transitional housing facilities and support for survivors of domestic violence. Today, ITN and ITS serve nearly 300 women and children.
Join us on Friday, March 8th, 2019 in Jungle Island’s recently remodeled Bloom Ballroom for the 18th Annual Women Who Make A Difference Luncheon. The event will start promptly at 11:00 AM. We are excited to announce that this year’s luncheon will be hosted by Channel 10’s Laurie Jennings!
