Honorees

Andria Dickinson
JLM Past President and Sustainer Andria Dickinson spent her career in the nonprofit arena beginning in higher education at the University of Miami. She spent five years as the Executive Director of the Coral Gables Community Foundation before becoming the VP of Development at Camillus House, the largest service provider for homeless individuals in Miami.

Remy Gordon
Remy Gordon, LCSW, is the founder of Seeking Shelter Inc., a nonprofit that provides community resources, essential items, and trauma-informed care to those experiencing homelessness and at-risk families. Remy’s long-term goal is to establish Charlie’s House, a shelter program for transition-aged youth (16-24 years old).

Michelle Shirley
Michelle Shirley is the CEO of Be Strong International, a nonprofit that provides educational services and resources to youth, parents, and families to develop and maintain healthy relationships through Heart Skills™. Affectionately known as the Chief Heart Officer, she is a mentor and frontline leader in the community.

Jeannett Slesnick (In Memoriam)
A beloved JLM sustainer, Jeannett Slesnick (1947-2023) was previously honored as “Volunteer of the Year” and “Sustainer of the Year.” A former Coral Gables city commissioner, mayoral candidate, and real estate impresaria, Jeannett was widely recognized for her decades of service in local government and nonprofits.
