Junior League of Miami Member Long’s service lands her on prestigious list
It’s been 40 years since Theodora Long joined the Junior League of Miami, which happens to be in its 100th year of existence.
So, there’s no better time for Long, affectionately called “Theo” by her legion of supporters and admirers, to celebrate her latest accomplishment of being named to the inaugural 40 Over 40 Class of 25 list by The Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI) that encompasses more than 150,000 women in 297 leagues across six countries.
Exceptional leadership, service and community impact are just part of the traits for those 40 women, who hail from Northern Virginia to Nairobi.
Long credits her foundation in leadership to the Junior League of Miami.
“The League gave me the confidence, skills and empowerment to lead with purpose and make a meaningful impact,” she said.
